    We are pleased to announce the feature release of Vampir 10.9.0.

    This major release introduces multiple new features.

    Noteworthy Changes

    New Flame Graph display

    Vampir now includes a new Flame Graph display for visualizing call stacks as stacked bars. It supports horizontal and vertical zooming, a minimap for navigation, sorting by various metrics, searching for functions, and showing caller/callee information in the Context Information display.

    There is a new Vampir 10.8.1 bugfix release available now.

    Notable changes:

    • Fix remote file dialog folder lists not showing changes on refresh.
    • Fix crash when connecting to an incompatible VampirServer instance.
    • Fix context error for OTF traces when using more than one worker.
    • Fix pending message and irregular match errors for OTF2 traces.
    • Fix crash in the Counter Timeline when changing the metric after the Sum line has been enabled.

    We are pleased to announce the feature release of Vampir 10.8.0.

    This major release introduces multiple new features.

    Noteworthy Changes:

    Message matching of multi-threaded MPI applications

    Vampir now shows correct messages for multi-threaded MPI applications (MPI_THREAD_MULTIPLE). Recording requires a recent Score-P with OTF2 3.2 or above. Trace loading will be degraded but interactive analysis is not affected.
